Rule 7
7 Study Teaching Visits
: (1) Study Teaching Visits will be of the following types:
(a) Campus visit of senior teachers
(b) Visit for study and research within SAARC countries.
(c) Visits for participation in meetings, conferences.
(2) The commission will provide grant support only if the commission is convinced that the visits according to this rule can be helpful in promoting the study and teaching work.
(3) Regarding the campus visit of senior teachers, it should be as follows.
(a) The teachers involved in the program should be experienced, specialized professors.
(b) The commission will identify areas and subjects that need to be improved in teaching and learning. And will prepare a list of professors for that purpose.
(c) If the president approves the proposal presented by the university or campus, including the name of the expert and the program to be conducted, it can be included in the program according to this bye-law.
(d) The Commission shall bear the amount of salary, daily allowance and travel allowance of the teachers who participate in the program as per this sub-rule. Apart from that, other expenses incurred will have to be borne by the concerned educational institution. Clarification: Relevant educational institution means the educational institution which is benefited.
(e) After completing the visit, the concerned teacher should submit a work progress report to the Commission.
(f) Other matters in this matter shall be as prescribed by the Commission.
(4) The Commission may arrange for teachers to visit SAARC countries for study visits on subjects deemed appropriate.
(5) The commission may provide financial assistance to the teachers who are invited to participate in the educational/academic meetings held abroad for the purpose of visiting or other related activities in limited circumstances. For this purpose, the following conditions will need to be fulfilled.
(a) The organization concerned, study (reading) order will benefit from the conference to be attended.
(b) The teacher concerned should be invited to such seminar or educationShould have been nominated/approved by the organization.
(c) The organizer or the related educational institution shall bear the cost of travel and accommodation to go to the conference, i.e. the Commission shall not be burdened in this regard.
(6) The commission will decide on the basis of justification in matters not clearly mentioned in this rule.
